Dear Mr. Corwin,

This message is in response to your letter dated 20 Oct 1999 about the 
pedigree of David Corwin on the familysearch.org web site.  

My information comes from a Mrs. Clara C. B. Everett of St. George, Utah who 
submitted it to the Genealogy Archieves of the LDS Church in 2 Apr 1942.  

David Corwin (AFN: 92BW-3P) had two wives.  His first wife, Mary Wells 
(AFN:1D3S-844) had seven children.  Their second child was David Corwin 
(AFN:1D3S-863).  His second wife, Abigal Davis (AFN: 92BW-4V),  had also 
seven childern.  I came through her first child, Deborah Corwin (AFN: 
3HJD-ZF),who married Ephrain Everett (AFN:3HJD-X8).  Their son Addison 
Everett(AFN:2B4V-CM) came to Utah.  

David and Abigal Davis's sixth child, born about 1784, was named Phineah 
(AFN: 92BW-9Q). I believe this is a type error and it should be Phineas.   
The Phineas Corwin (AFN: JCVD-0M)  submitted by Carol M. Lundgren (I do not 
know) was also born about 1784.  Their birth places, however, are not the 
same.  Phineas Corwin (AFN: 92BW-9Q) was born in Wallkill, Orange county, New 
Jersey, whereas Phineas Corwin (AFN: JCVD-0M) was estimated by the computer 
to be born in PIck a way county, Ohio.  These could be the same person, but 
more information is needed.  All I have on Phineas Corwin (AFN: 92BW-9Q) is 
that he died at a young age.  This suggests that he may be the Phineas Corwin 
of your family.

Individuals or families can be linked to already existing individuals on the 
familysearch.org ancestral file by submitting a GEDCOM file and including at 
least one in the file with one in the ancestral file along with their AFN 
number.  For example:  if you wanted to add children and/or their decendents 
to David Corwin (AFN: 1D3S-863), include the AFN number for David Corwin.  
The Personal Ancestral File software will do this and prepare your files in 
GEDCOM format to be downloaded into the familysearch.org ancestral file. This 
software can be downloaded for free from the familysearch.org. web page.

I would be glad to help you.  It would be exciting to be able to link the two 
families together.
